The show was free - the price of admission was to wear a Smiths t-shirt - and only half the fans who travelled to Wolverhampton actually made it inside the venue. The show was intended as both an opportunity to film a video for The Last Of The Famous International Playboys, and as a goodbye to The Smiths, as Morrissey was backed by Mike Joyce, Andy Rourke, and Craig Gannon.
