
It is a well-known fact that critics are savage to Morrissey in this modern age. Such weekly papers as New Musical Express are seemingly eager to pick apart every new release before they have even listened to it. There was a time when it wasn't always this way; when Morrissey would receive "Single Of The Week" honors and flowery words of praise were frequently thrown his way. This portion of the Morrissey Discography features some of his most glowing reviews, especially for the initial mesmerizing triage of "Suedehead," Viva Hate, and "Everyday Is Like Sunday". From there, things went downhill, although occasional glowing reviews still appear to this day.
